I have to agree with the other reviewers. This book was just not that great, compared to other DeMille books I have read, and really liked.
Con: I didn't like any of the characters, and I found this book to be a repetitive, and the dialogue weak.

I imagine this had to be better as a shorter book. While descriptions claim you're in for an action packed adventure, I'd say the adventure lasted maybe 10 minutes in what was a very long book. Lots of planning for said adventure, but once it's actually happening it was quite a let down. I did enjoy learning some of the history of Ethiopia and even got a Jeopardy answer correct because of this book. I wish there had been more history, less love triangle, and way more adventure.
