I just reread this book and enjoyed it just as much if not more the second time. This book was absolutely amazing, a wild ride all the way. The way this author writes, the dialogue, the descriptions, are wonderful for reading aloud. The main character Veronica is quite a woman, a lady with the mind of Irene Adler, the independence of Phryne Fisher, the interesting scientific interests of Flavia de Luce going off on adventures that would make Indiana Jones jealous and meeting a variety of charact

Mixed feeling about this book. I liked the character of Veronica, but i found the mystery ho hum. The dialog between her and Stoker was at times hysterically funny and always clever. I will definitely read another in the series, but i think it is better read that listened to. Not enough substance to spend 11 hours listening.

What a way to end 2019. This book was absolutely amazing, a wild ride all the way. The way this author writes, the dialogue, the descriptions, are wonderful for reading aloud. The main character Veronica is quite a woman, a lady with the mind of Sherlock Holmes, the independence of Phryne Fisher, the interesting scientific interests of Flavia de Luce. This was fun and I enjoyed the heroine. The plot is so slow-moving though and ultimately was too fantastical for me
