What an excellent story! One of the best pirate stories I've ever read, told in the same style as those other pirate/sea story greats known as Treasure Island and Gulliver's Travels, but with its own unique bits and pieces. A great combo of adventure, historical fiction, and romance with wonderful, unique characters that you will not want to put it down until you finish it.

I was listening to this book on audio, and I think this was part of the problem. I didn't really get into it until the last 3 hours or so. The story was really REALLY unique, which was pretty refreshing. I think the characters were pretty compelling, and the final plot twists were pretty cool.
