The beginning was "oh wow" and was qualifying as a page turner for me. A tragic accident and an unreliable narrator made for a great story-to-come.
Jenna Gray finds life too difficult to stay in her home and heads to the Welsh coast. Her new life in a a small town is written well and I would have loved it if the rest of the novel had been written in the same way.

Wow! Just, wow. What the universe sends us. One week after a hit and run on our sleepy road, this book arrives from the library about a hit and run that kills a 5 year old boy.
What a great thriller. Didn’t figure it out- and was sure I had. Not going to say much more, but this: if you liked Girl on the Train, you will probably like this. I actually liked this novel better. This cunning psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. It is disturbing in many parts and without giving anything away it shows how battered you can get.
