This book made me laugh. I think it's best described as quippy: The author has a snarky, sarcastic sense of humor that can't help but make your mouth twist into a smile. There's plenty of sweet moments in here, too (bordering on but not quite getting into the maudlin or sentimental, though it's worth mentioning that I have a high tolerance for sentimentality; ymmv). Overall, it's a book about books, and about one person's responses to a number of books, and I will always enjoy that.
