One of the great books of the modern era. I think what Frankenstein was to the Romantic age, Jurassic Park is to the postmodern era. The same questions are revisited here: Is science a gift from God or a curse? If a gift, does it entitle us to play God? What are the ethical limitations on this power? These deeper questions were what made the story so great for me.

Woo! Gruesome! Science! More like a 3.5 rating; the T-Rex scenes were VERY enjoyable, and now I know something about velociraptors and chaos theory!

Super fun read. I loved the movie and we watched it again recently with our girl. After that, I just needed to read the book. Those velociraptors are scarier in the book than they are in the movie. Eek! If you are looking for a beach book this is an easy read that will keep you interested to the end.
