Better than average in the theme-mystery genre, with the clear and straightforward prose that marks Elkins's style. Definitely seems to be inspired (at least partially) by the real-life case of John Drewe (covered excellently in Provenance: How a Con Man and a Forger Rewrote the History of Modern Art). ...more
