I think I liked this one in the series the best so far. Dr. Temperance Brennan keeps her instances of running off by herself and doing something knuckle-headed down to a minimum.

Bit of a "Murder She Wrote" to this series - at least so far. Whatever the crime under investigation, whichever Tempe relative is visiting her gets mixed up with the bad guys involved in the specific crime topic. In Book 2, it was Tempe's sister and cults; in Book 3, it is motorcycle gangs and her nephew. Every time Tempe is oblivious to the obvious. Temperence Brennan becomes involved with murders between rival motorcycle gangs after a young girl is killed in the crossfire. There were a lot of murders and gang members to keep track of which made things a bit confusing for me. I didn't like that the author seems to think everyone who rides motorcycles is evil.
