Jennifer Weiner certainly writes addiction well. I could truly feel what Allison was going through and understand her justifications for just one more pill. From the writing, I understood that Allison knew she was in trouble, even as she explained away every bad decision. I'm really impressed with Jennifer's take on this subject.

I love Jennifer Weiner. I've read Good in Bed, Certain Girls, and Little Earthquakes. Every single one of those books were amazing. The types of stories that stay with you long after you read the final pages. I think the genre that Jennifer is most often identified with would be chick lit but her books are so much more than just that....they are so thought provoking and well written that I think they could verge on the edge of literary fiction (she often makes me cry!).

It was at times frustrating to read - you just wanted to slap her, but I guess it was a realistic account of how a prescription can lead to addiction. She wrote In Her Shoes, which is one of my favorite chick-lit books and movies. Worth the read.
