What Members Thought
I loved the first two chapters or so. The rest of the book was still very good, but not as much to my liking. The writing is truly beautiful. I read this for one of my book clubs. I am so glad that I did.
I’ve had this forever and finally gave it some the time it deserved. It is lovely, unique and quietly powerful. The cadence of the prose is hypnotic and the way she crafts a sentence! I moved between my print copy and on #audio and can see why this won the Pulitzer prize, well deserving of all the praise.
I will have to try reading this book in 10 years, I simply wasn't ready for it now.
