I love her writing, but this book was just plain odd. I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would. It was just too 'out there' for me - to the point that it felt like a fantasy novel. I thought it would be creepier. Just meh.

Perfect.
Tight. Beautifully horrifying. But gentle in a way. You identify with the Blackwoods. You're on their side and you end up hoping no one intrudes and upsets their intricate, creepy, isolated Eden.
