Maybe at age 50+, I just don't enjoy chick lit books?? Maybe I never did. There were some funny moments and some interesting characters, and I loved the setting. But it felt more long than a story with depth. I didn't really care about any of the characters.

It's as juicy as you could expect from Liane Moriarty. She's back with all of her elements: small neighborhood in Australia, crazy ambitious parents in a suburban good school, mystery and secrets between families and friends. And gossip and murder, of course!
The theme range from bullying to rape and domestic violence, but Moriarty is one skillful writer who could weave any serious theme into a juicy, funny story full of interesting characters. I read this in one day and still feel the glee! ...more

A quick read. I really liked it. I kept changing my mind who I thought was going to die and who was going to be the murderer. I like how I was manipulated by the author... (: Also, I liked seeing how the education system works in Australia. Some pieces that are so similar to here, and yet I thought were very unique to the US.
