A wonderful book, this story has sadness, tragedy, joy, acceptance, repentance, and much more. When three adult children come home to deal with their parents' deaths, which happened at exactly the same time, they discover thousands of letters that their father had written to their mother every Wednesday of their married life. There are deep dark secrets, as well as joy and love. The secrets upset them, but the joy and love help them to persevere and get through what is a very difficult time.

There must be something about reading letters from one person to another that lends such insight to a story. This story held on to its secrets until the end, but it wasn't a shock or a letdown. It simply was an explanation. I'd like to write that I began my own weekly correspondence with the people that I love, but I'm not sure I have the discipline. This was a touching and enlightening story. I enjoyed it because it was so real--real characters doing real things, acting very believably, and yet still so brilliant for the perfect story. It makes your heart beat a little stronger for the people you love. I would recommend it to anyone dealing with loved ones whose problems are not just their own and for which they may seem undeserving of your love.

This book was awesome. I loved the characters and I loved how it ended. I recommend this book to everyone.
