This was a pleasant easy to listen to in the car chick-lit book. I really enjoyed all the behind-the-scenes stories of putting on a weekly TV sitcom. Ruth and her grandmother were extremely likable characters - so not as good as In her Shoes - but worth a quick read.

I liked this book, because of the perspective that it gives at making TV shows. I liked the love story in it, and most of the main characters. What I really did not like is the character of Ruth. She was just so annoying, and I felt like screaming at various points at her "Grow a backbone!" She would not stand up for herself! Throughout the whole book! So so so annoying! I don't think I understand all the hate for this book. I mean, it's not great literature, but I don't think that's really what I expected going in. I did think it was entertaining and I liked the Ruthie character. ...more
