Wow. This is one book that will take your breath away. An amazing tale of spiritual and physical loss and gain and how it is dealt with. One detail that had special meaning for me was the fact that not only did one of the main characters, Nicole, have to deal with the disfigurement of her face from the acid attack, but the other main character, Jay, had his own challenge in life, he has epilepsy and has to handle how people treat him after witnessing him having a seizure.
