I loved this fictionalized rendition of the lives of Sarah and Angelina Grimke. I had never heard of these 2 women until my daughter learned about them in school. Her teacher told me about this book, and since I already owned it on Kindle, I figured that now as a good a time as any to read it.

I really enjoyed this one. I found the dual narrative compelling and loved how Handful and Sarah each had their own distinct voices.

Amazing, well-written historical novel about the Grimke sisters. I learned so much and I hope one of my students does a history day project on them.
