The saga of Day and June comes to a conclusion(ish) in Champion as the tension between the Colonies and the Republic turns into war. I'd lost the rhythm of the two main characters, and the book primarily keeps them separated from one another...so the romance vibe was a bit lost for me. When I was about halfway through this book, I thought to myself: this book is really good, there's not a single thing I don't like about it, but it just isn't grabbing me.
And then it grabbed me.
I was seriously close to tears by the end, both because it was so emotionally gripping, AND because I was so sad that it's over! (And I just about never cry from books.)

This was a great conclusion to the trilogy! Plenty of action and adventure and all the questions got answered. And I particularly liked the ending. This ended on a lot of hope.
