I have not read a book this good in a long time. I loved every word and did not want it to end. I wish we had more of Sophie; what an amazing character. When we switched to Liv, I was a little annoyed because Sophie had such an enormous presence, but Liv shines through in the end. I'll definitely be reading all of the rest of Moyes' novels. ...more

I could have read a whole book about Sophie and the occupation. The painting restitution storyline was a good concept, but the resolution was too neat and the romance angle was too convenient. The Woman in Gold is a much more compelling restitution story.
