I really enjoyed the magical world Hearne is building in this book! Love the characters too. It is a bit violent, so if that's an issue for you, you may wanna steer clear. It's an issue for me, but there was so much really clever laugh-out-loud humor to balance it out that it worked for me. Definitely continuing with the series.

This book is just pure fun. Atticus has such a great dry sense of humor that the reader remains interested in what's happening in his world. The secondary characters add spice to the story and there is almost non stop action. Hearne really sets this book up well; it's evenly paced, the dialogue is terrific, and Oberon is so funny. The lore is wonderful, and even though it is all fantasy, none of the events sound fantastical or completely impro

I'm not likely to become a fan of Urban Fantasy or Druids but I was entertained by Atticus O'Sullivan and his loyal dog Oberon. I might have even learned something about Druids and Swords.
