4.5 to 5.0 stars. Just re-read this after having first read it many years ago. Asimov was a superb story-teller and his books are almost always fun, easy to read and full of big ideas. This one is no exception.

The first book in what is termed as the "robot triology." It's interesting how Isaac Asimov intertwined his books together over the years, and very creative. I enjoyed the story, and it had its usual Asimovian twists and turns that I expected from my reading of the Foundation series. Still a fun sci-fi mystery book to read today.

Meh. I think Asimov's magic shines better in the form of short stories.

A wonderful SF Detective novel. This is the first time we meet R. Daneel Olivaw. The R stands for robot. The first chronologically in the Robot/Foundation series. We get to see how Daneel begins to learn and think for himself.
