This series became a bit harder to love as it went on, but in the first story, where Richard is less powerful and less of the questions answered it was a great story. I loved the revealing of the many secrets in the book and occasionally will quote the wizard's first rule because it generally is true. All that said, I wouldn't recommend against the rest of the series, but I wouldn't recommend it as strongly as this book either. So pick this up and if you love it read more, but if you don't then
