3.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. It is not real deep, but it does not try to be. I does try to be extremely entertaining without being campy and I think it succeeds brilliantly. Excellent and highly recommended.

I've seen some really negative criticism of the Dresden series, and it really isn't justified. It's not being written to be High Fiction or the World's Toughest Whodunit. It's lighter and more fun than either of those usually are, so if you set your expectations properly, you'll enjoy them just fine.

Really like 3.66 stars. A fun read about a wizard / detective in Chicago. Not as deep as I would have liked, and some of the characters were drawn a bit flat, but the plot moved along and there were moments of good writing throughout. Beats the pants off the other thriller (Pulse) that I read a few months ago. Like reading a good B movie.
