What Members Thought

Pratchett’s writing is clever and amusing, and I liked Granny Weatherwax. I look forward to reading more about her.
The abstract, unsubtle wizard magic in this book doesn’t do much for me, however. I find Granny’s headology more appealing.
So far I prefer the more down-to-disc stories featuring the Night Watch.

There was a lot of hilarious cleverness in this book, I think I was just expecting more from it (maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it). It actually reminded me a lot of Douglas Adams. I think I will read the rest of the Witches books though, I did like Granny.

Silly, yet kind of fun. This is my third one in the series, I am reading them in order. I liked Granny Weatherwax, she had some spunk. I liked her sarcasm.
I am not sure if i would read it again though. I am hoping the books pick up a bit as i go along through the series. I found myself a bit impatient with the storyline about half way through. Still plan to read on, but hope things get a bit...clearer, the writing seems to be cloudy at times , if that makes sense.
