WHOA. I just finished reading this about 2 minutes ago. and...WHOA! i had heard that this book was one of the best in the series, and at first i wasnt sure how to take that, since the 2nd book was so amazing, and the first half of this book was...on the boring side. but somewhere around the halfway mark, there's a tipping point and everything just gets so awesome!

This is very long book and a long series. I am determined to finish the series. The story is incredible and Mr. Martin's attention to detail is amazing. You find yourself rooting for individuals. I found myself loving characters I was supposed hate and hating characters I was supposed to love. I think Tyrion and Jaime Lannister are two of my favorites.
