Shelves: difficult-and-great, favorite-fantasy
An epic read, the book which languishes on so many shelves. This is more like reading The Bible than reading LOTR. If you (truly) like epic literature--The Iliad, The Oddysey, Beowulf, etc.--like I do, then this is right up your alley. If you're _really_, _really_ fascinated with Tolkein and the world of LOTR, then you might have a fighting chance of enjoying this read.
