A winner from Koontz, Sad, funny, heart-breaking. This story kept the pages turning.
Right from the start you just gotta like Odd Thomas, he is just a likable character. Didn't see the ending coming even though i thought i had it all figured out. An odd, I-see-dead-people murder mystery by Koontz. Colorful characters, a good story, dark plot twists. The characters were maybe a little too colorful, and the banter between them maybe got a too playful, saccharine and "noir-ish". Koontz obviously wants you to love his cast of oddballs, esp. the title character; as well as hating their enemies. I suppose he succeeds in that, but a couple shades of gray would have been nice.
