The phenomena is over. The characters don't quite have the charm they did before and there is a feeling that it's all about finishing the story. As the series progressed, each book became more serious, more about the conflict and less about the wonder. I would recommend this book to all who have read the previous ones merely because it does tie up most of the loose ends (yes, I had guessed the truth about Snape by book five, but it was actually moving to read it).

This book was as much as I could hope for and a bit more. I won't deny the slight disappointment at the handling of my favorite character, Severus Snape but even that disappointment was greatly overshadowed by the rest of the book. Deathly Hallows was a great end to a great series!!

Maybe my favorite out of all of them. I cried just enough and laughed just enough. It is hard to say goodbye to some of my best friends, I don't know how Rowling was able to do it.
