Another in the "Bugs vs. Humanity" theme (along with "Armor" and "Ender's Game"), but this was the first of them... even though maybe not the best. Ender's Game, in my view, gets that prize.
There was a halfway decent movie made of this that kind of rejoiced in its own hamminess.. enjoyable but corny.
This was one of the first Heinlein books I read as a teen, also one of the first Sci-Fi books I remember purchasing with my own money. I reread it about once every four or five years. ...more

what's sad is that i started this book with a 5! i thought it was awesome at first. then i started really getting into it and it didnt go anywhere! i was really looking forward to this book because it's supposed to be a classic scifi--one that you have to read. but it just went on and on about nothing. very little story here, actually.
and, for its size, it took me FOREVER to read. i should've been through with this a few days after starting, but this took me 2 weeks. do wha??
