This wonderful book is told through first-person, so I do not the narrator's name. I shall just call him narrator.
After some thought, I've decided that I will tell you what I liked about the book first, and then write my review. I liked how the book was written, not a soul could resist reading this great story. The illistations by Quentin Blake were awsome; squiggly, but still strait foward. I loved the characters' personalities.

There is something to be said for a children's book which actually gives you the heebie jeebies - and not to say that the entire book was like that, but there were definitely moments in this story which use to freak me out as a kid. The witches in the story are virulent awful creatures who seemed even more frightening because they looked like everyone else (with the assistance of wigs and pointy toed shoes!) and yet still be so malicious - annual conferences to discuss how to rid the world of ch
