What Members Thought
There are two very urgent things I must address, well three if you count this:
HOW HAD I NOT LOOKED AT THIS BOOK BEFORE NOW?!?
It is fantastic! Like hoy-grail good. Dang, was it good!
Collins has pretty much blown away much of what was my brain with her awesomeness; that said, I will need a few days to recover.
And I guess thirdly: most probably if you are on this page news of the upcoming movie to this book has reached you. If not? SURPRISE!!! It comes out soon. And if you are anything like me ...more

OK! I get it! I finally get what all the hype is about! Why did it take me so long to read The Hunger Games? Something all readers have experienced: Too many books, too little time! But I finally started this book, and I couldn't put it down! I've never read anything like it, that's for sure. I'm sure I don't have to describe the plot, because I'll bet everybody has heard of it in one form or another. There's the book and the movie being made, so that info is readily available. I will just talk

This book was nothing short of genius. I was immediately hooked and brought it everywhere i went until the last page. Thank goodness hollywood is gonna make a movie from this amazing book. I just hope it does the book justice. Well i ordered the second book in the series before i finished this one so if anyone with a nook want to borrow it let me know.
Beginning of this year, I decided to do a challenge known as The Book Bucket List. Basically, it’s just a challenge where you read books, and each book you read counts as 1 point. Anyway, I was going to do this back in January, but I was rereading The Mortal Instruments series, and it doesn’t really count as a point if you already read the book. First book on the list, The Hunger Games book 1 by Suzanne Collins. I guess I had to blog about it too.

This book was not in my normal genre but I really enjoyed it. I did not think it was written as smoothly as I had expected but then I am getting kind of picky about that kind of thing lately. That being said however, I found the story line very engaging and not wanting to put the book down until the end. Ms. Collins does a great job of making you want to know what happens next so the story moves along very quickly and it is a great twist on a post apoc story. I would highly recommend this book.
This book made me sick for all the right reasons. The horror of thinking this could be a real thing or that people are really evil enough to place bets on children being killed... I couldn't stop reading. I might have to do a longer review later, but really... who hasn't read this yet?
