This book was beautifully written. No weak damsel in distress MC with Celaena Sardothien at the reins. Celaena is an assassin and one of the most notorious at that, but she was captured and sentenced to serve out her days in a salt mine prison camp. Until the day Prince Dorian and Captain of the Guard Chaol Westfall come to claim her as the prince's champion. If she becomes his champion she fights in a competition to become the king's champion and after fulfilling a four year contact, gains her

Updated 2024 Review
I actually still enjoyed this book, but I think less than I did before. It was good, wasn’t too exciting for me this time around. This book was a bit slower than I remembered, but I think it was good writing especially for SJM only being 16 when she wrote this. I loved the overall concept. I’m still undecided how I feel about Dorian and Chaol. I remembered in the past, that I liked them sooner, but for some reason, they just don’t grab my attention. Hopefully I get a better fe ...more

This was really good! Sarah really knows how to write amazing love interests! I loved the action packed scenes and the character development in this book. I don't know who I ship!😂 I'm leaning towards Dorian, but that's not because I love him more. I just think she opens up more to Dorian, and she tells him personal stuff and messes with him while her and Chaol only mess around. Overall, this was really good! If you haven't read this, I suggest you read the assassins blade first💓 I am very thank

I was thinking about what to even write about this book and I found myself listing only the good things. There is nothing I dont like, except the face that we still dont have any idea what the next couple of books will be about.
Of course I will try and not to post a million of spoilers and give away the while plot and the ending, but there will be small spoilers that probably wont completely ruin the book.
SO lets talk about the characters.

“'You could rattle the stars,' she whispered. 'You could do anything, if you only dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That's what scares you most.'”
My love for Sarah J. Maas has no end. Her writing style is so distinct and beautiful, so easy to get lost in. Her words always pull you to the next page, leaving you wanting more. Just like the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, Throne of Glass drew me in from the very first page.

“You could rattle the stars.”
{First reread}
Let me just tell you, Sarah J Maas has me whipped. Before my reread I always thought I didn’t like Throne of Glass that much (I haven’t read this book in like more than a year, so either my memory of the book is foggy or I was just an f’ng liar), but even to me that was a bit weird because if I don’t like a first book in a series, I won’t continue on but I did. So during my reread, I realized that I don’t actually dislike this book. Is ...more
