I actually still enjoyed this book, but I think less than I did before. It was good, wasn’t too exciting for me this time around. This book was a bit slower than I remembered, but I think it was good writing especially for SJM only being 16 when she wrote this. I loved the overall concept. This was really good! Sarah really knows how to write amazing love interests! I loved the action packed scenes and the character development in this book. I don't know who I ship!😂 I'm leaning towards Dorian, but that's not because I love him more. I just think she opens up more to Dorian, and she tells him personal stuff and messes with him while her and Chaol only mess around. Overall, this was really good! I was thinking about what to even write about this book and I found myself listing only the good things. There is nothing I dont like, except the face that we still dont have any idea what the next couple of books will be about.
Of course I will try and not to post a million of spoilers and give away the while plot and the ending, but there will be small spoilers that probably wont completely ruin the book.
SO lets talk about the characters.
Celaena might end up on my top 10 characters of all time I was thinking about what to even write about this book and I found myself listing only the good things. There is nothing I dont like, except the face that we still dont have any idea what the next couple of books will be about.

SO lets talk about the characters.
Celaena might end up on my top 10 characters of all time list. She is really cool literally from page one. I love how strong she is and I agree with Nehemia (I am definatlly gonna mess up some of the names so lets just ignore that, its Sarah J Maas people, her names are hell for pronouncing and spelling. That woman is setting us up to fail) when she said Celaena is truly a spirit that cannot be broken. She is really good at figting and killing but she is not a kille machine she actually does have a heart and I like that about her. The thing that might bother me is the fact that we still dont really know who se is. Everyone has a theory or 2 and she did foreshadow some things but honestly I cant fiure it out with this little information. I feel like she is still hiding a secret since she literally says there at the end to Dorian "I have a lot of secrets, I dont need another one." So yeah, I am left with more questions then I originally had. I love the fact that Celaena likes to show how awesome she is and when Chaol suggested that she should stay under the radar I was kind of mad at him. Throughtout the 1st half of the book we are told how awesome and famous Celaena truly is, and yet we dont get to see what she can really do until the very end. She was just awesome all the time. I loved her relationship with Dorian and found myself shipping them. (With the hope he wont become something like Tamlin in ACOTAR). I like the love-hate relationship she had with Chaol whose name I failed to pronounce right until literally chapter 51... took me long enough to realize he has an A in his name. I loved the friendship Celaena and Nehemia have, I loved Nehemia from the beginning, but I went through the same thing Celaena did with trusting her. In the beginning the whole language thing was just weird, I was constantly concerned she was a spy. I have trust issues for new "friendly" characters (Cassandra Clare fans might know what I mean by new "friendly" characters who are "helping" the main character, with her it usually turnes to s***) SO the signs thing was always in the back of my mind even when I wasnt reading because I hate not even having any idea about anything, I just have to have a theory. We still dont know EVERYTHING about the signs but I hope we find out soon enough. Overall Celaena as a character was really cool to figure out, I cant wait to dig aroung her past more and to see what she does next.
Can we please talk about Dorian now? I was trully praying that he wont be this snobby prince, you know, the kind that just gets om yoour nerves. And he WASNT. I have to be honest... I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE GUY! He was funny and every single conversation between him and Celaena I was just dying laughing. His reaction in the very beginning when Celaena would not kneel in front of him was just funny for some reason. I loved reading scenes with him or from his pov. The Yulemas thing that sounds and looks a lot like Christmas to me. With him and Celaena was just soooo nice and funny and it just gave you the feeling that everything was just fine and not that there was a killer in the castle and oh by the way we are hosting this HUGE competition that will decide who gets to kill people for the king. When he have Celaena the puppy I was soo happy it was theeee cutest moment in history. I think my favorite scene in the whole book is when he found Celaena playing the piano and their conversation after that. It was just purely cute and can you tell that I ship them? The whole dance scene was so similar to Starfall in ACOMAF and I am here for it! I Loved it. In conclusion, Dorian is a character that is really easy to love for some reason.
Chaol... I have no clue if I hate him or love him. In the beginning I absolutely HATED him. And then he grew on me. And in the final test when he did what he did I was just shocked because he showed emotions there. He helped Celaena a lot so I guess I dont hate him anymore. But I also dont love him because he is a really cold character. He wont show emotions and stuff like that which really isnt my thing, if anything that is my least favorite type of characters. You are hiuman! You have feelings! I feel like him and Celaena will be a thing. I dont want that.
Nehemia... I trusted her. And then the whole library thing happened and I dont know how I stopped trusting someone so quickly. She is playing a dangerous game after all but at least it wasnt what I feared it was so we are good. To be honest it didnt even cross my mind that she mught be just protecting us against evil until someone said it and in my head I was like "Well, she is either a really good lier and she is helping or she is a lying b****. In the end I wasnt surprised with where her story went because we kind of knew that it was a possibility. I cant wait to see her again in book 2.
The killings... to be shor about this. I suspected Elena might be connexted to them even though it would make 0 sense for her to be. What I will say is... I did not see it coming. But when they showed who it was, it all suddenly made so much sense. I wanted to slap myself for not seeing that coming.
What else did I want to say? I truly have no clue. Except, I wanted to ask if I was the only one who was really against Celaenas fake name being Lilian? It wont fit her! Whatever.
All in all the book was brilliant, I laughed, I was scared, I was jumping, I was mad, I was annoyed. Which tells you I love this book and I cant wait to see what happens now that we are done with this. ...more

My love for Sarah J. Maas has no end. Her writing style is so distinct and beautiful, so easy to get lost in. Her words always pull you to the next page, leaving you wanting more. Just like the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, Throne of Glass drew me in from the very first page.
