2.5 stars. Zoey Redbird is identified and marked as a mutating vampyre. The Cherokee aspect was interesting, but the Cherokee words were difficult to understand or remember.

I really liked this story after the first several chapters. I would definitely give it more stars if it weren't for the use of "teen inner monologue"... it was distracting when Zoey explained her thoughts this way.

Interesting premise. Pat execution. I enjoyed it even so and ate it up like chips and brown pop in about an hour and a half.
This book was very vulgar and crude and I really can say that I would not recommend this book to anyone. I tried to like it and maybe the story would have been ok if there weren't so many swear words and so much sexual content. I will not be reading anymore books by this author.

Finally read this book that's been in my TBR forever. I get why this series was so popular when it was first published. It's got drama with a capital D and is loads of fun just for all the cat fights. I'm not all that excited about the plot; it seems like it's been done many times over. But, that's not going to stop me from reading the rest of the series. I just checked and my library has them available in Libby. Yep! The rest of the series was just added to my TBR.
