Ugly Love in Never Too Old For Y.A. & N.A. Books

As I was reading this, I have a lot of things going on in my head. What I would say, when I finally write my review. Where would I start, to tell Colleen Hoover damn her for giving me an ugly cry for my first read of the year or rave how awesome this book is.

Well, I haven't read for almost 3 weeks. Yup 3 f*cking weeks. I had a lot of paperworks back in December and when I finally had time to read, I just didn't know what to pick up. I did start reading 3 books. But didn't get to finish any. And As I was reading this, I have a lot of things going on in my head. What I would say, when I finally write my review. Where would I start, to tell Colleen Hoover damn her for giving me an ugly cry for my first read of the year or rave how awesome this book is.

Well, I haven't read for almost 3 weeks. Yup 3 f*cking weeks. I had a lot of paperworks back in December and when I finally had time to read, I just didn't know what to pick up. I did start reading 3 books. But didn't get to finish any. And I was jealous of my friends for having read and finished a book or two already for this year. Then there was Ugly Love which I began reading today (I tried NA for a change) and finished within the day as well. I guess my luck with YA ran out. So Colleen Hoover thank you for ending my reading slump.

Lemme just say I had this book for months now. Months. My friends keep telling me to read it since it's the only book from CoHo I haven't read but I guess I wasn't in the mood to read it since some of my friends didn't liked it as much as her other books. And I was nervous reading this, because I didn't want to hate it. Because I loved all her books. And I don't want this to be a let down for me. Moral of the story: don't let other opinions or reviews or ratings get in your way to read a book. As much as possible be oblivious when you go dive into a book.

Probably the reason I loved this was the story and Tate. Yes guys Tate. Because I was Tate. I guess I can relate to her. Tho I loved Miles and wanted to hate him for being an asshole towards Tate, I just can't. He was honest from the start. What he wanted from Tate, and he was respectful of her most of the time. So I can't hate him, because yup Tate I feel you.

So whenever someone asks me what CoHo book I liked, before my answer would be Finding Cinderella. Well now, it would be this. Ugly Love. While other people might not have liked this as much as her other books, I did. Readers tend to like a story based on what made an impression on them, and this one hit me spot on. =) ...more

I'd heard nothing but amazing things about this book, and yet... I'm not sure how I really feel about it. The dual POV bothered me; I wanted to hear his past from him telling Tate. I also think it ended too perfectly. But I loved Hopeless, so I'll definitely be trying more books from this author! ...more

I can't recall when was the last time I've read a book that made me bawl. As in ugly crying bawl. I'm just thankful my husband wasn't there to witness it and have me committed. He would have thought someone died from all the crying.

It was just a beautiful, beautiful story. With a thought provoking tale of love lost and ultimately redeemed. The banter amongst the characters, the intoxicating sexual tens ...more

This is a bit more mature read from Colleen Hoover.
All the characters are in their twenties with clear path in career.
Tate moved in with her brother when she came to the city to do a master in nurcing.
Miles was a pilot and one of the best friends of her brother.
He had deep scars inside and out. Broken broken guy, who swore to never love again.
She took it upon herself to fix him, to nurse him back to life.
What can I say...it has to get bad, like very bad, before it'll get any better.

OhMyGod!!

This book was Brilliant and Heart-breaking all at the same time!

Loved Tate, loved Miles, loved the story....Colleen Hoover knows how to draw you into a story and not let you go until the last page is read...just brilliant :-)
