The incoming days should be lot easier for Clary and Jace. They were no more siblings and loved each other so much. But being arisen from death had shaken the nature. Jace started to have nightmares, the most horrible ones. They were always about his and Clary’s intimate pictures, ended up with him killed Clary. Jace did not eat nor sleep to avoid them. He even tried his best avoiding Clary, no matter that it was killing him. It seemed that being siblings was not the worst case for them. After visiting the Silent Brothers, they both found out that a great demon was trying her influence on Jace. What Clary did not know was that the Silent Brother could not protect Jace from the Greater Demon, Lilith. She made Jace obeyed everything she asked, including hurting Clary. She did all the things for Sebastian, whom she gave her demon blood to, to bring Sebastian to life. Will Jace and Clary’s love save themselves? Even Lilith said that their love can burn down the world and raise it up in glory. Will the love that moves the sun and all the other stars win and remove all the obstacles by the end of the day?

Being a daywalker attracted all kind of evils towards Simon. One needed his help, but others seemed to find satisfaction in his demise. The Mark of Cain did a great job in saving Simon, which for him was always a terrifying experience. He was also busy with his two girlfriends, Isabelle and Maia until they found out the truth. He ran away from home after he made his mother forgot her scary experience of knowing who Simon truly was then moved to a new friend’s, Jordan – whom by Jace was found out to be a werewolf – house. Life was not too dangerous for vampire Simon until he met Lilith and had to face the scariest day in his life where Jace and Clary were also involved.

I love this sequel. I hate the ending, but not because it’s bad. Yes it was a terrible story for an ending and made me cried a lot but it also made me desire more and more of my favourite Jace and Clary. I know that not all people love the idea of having sequel to the awesome City of Glass but I need more. It is not only because I always loved the idea of having more Jace no matter how tragic the story might be (with absolute happy end between Jace and Clary), but I felt that the ending was too simple. I expected more explanation about Jace’s resurrection. In supernatural novels, the balance between death and life is important, so shaking the core will definitely cause something. I loved and love City of Fallen Angels. I will cry more in reading City of Lost Souls but I am dying for it....:)

This is the first time I am actually writing a review and let me say this : WTF? I am really a HUGE Mortal Instruments fan and devoured the first three books in a matter of three days. When the third book was done, I was like okkaaay, the third book kinda did it for me and now there's a fourth one? But after a few minutes, I was like oh alright, let's see what happens and yum, hope I can get more of JACE. Then BAM. Compare me reading the book to a roller coaster. I exepted more. The half of the book was mostly about Simon. There was too little Jace and Clary. I expected to see how happy are they together, and instead there was more pain, just like in the second book when they thought they were brother and sister.
In the end there is still no answer are they going to be together, is the love really enough. And of course i can`t wait to see what will happen with them (view spoiler) ...more
