As always another great book from Jennifer Weiner! A quick read that I wanted to just sit and read, and do nothing else! Addie Downs has had a difficult time of things, including being harrassed in high school for being fat, a brother that was in a car accident that has left him brain damaged, and both her parents have died. I was so looking forward to Jennifer Weiner's latest book, because as an ardent fan, I find that her stories are cleverly written and an easy read. However, this book was a sore disappointment. How this book is about best friends, I haven't got a clue. Because with a best friend like Valerie who needs enemies? Weiner disappoints on this one.

Loved the story for the most part. I loved the mix of the chapters and the way the past and present was presented. Wasn't crazy about Valerie as a character, but that's just because I feel like she lacked a lot of depth in her creation.

The book was good. Very enjoyable and easy read. I enjoyed the lay out and progression of the book. A classic weiner novel.
