What Members Thought

I finished this one in one sitting. That's not to say it was the best book ever - bc I skipped a bit here and there.
The thing is, I find I'm not a fan of serials about the same couple, unless there is something else that keeps the story going, maybe a mystery to be solved, unresolved issues, etc. Even then, I'm not a fan and always wary about getting into one of these.

For some reason when I picked up Us I didn't realise it was about Wes and Jamie, but I was so stoked when I realised.
Us starts not too long after Him has ended and anyone with a hectic schedule where one partner is away a lot will know the strain it can put on a relationship. I really connected to Wes and Jamie's struggle and coupled with the need to keep their true relationship a secret it made for some great conflict. Us was a wonderful continuation of Wes and Jamie's story. I have to say that I loved it even more than the first one. Their struggle to keep their relationship a secret was very upsetting to both of them. While Jamie started his new job and Wes tried to make a name for himself his rookie year leads to a whole lot of insecurities and hurt feelings. One thing that never changed was their love for each other and it was my favorite part of the story.

Great follow up to Him but I wouldn't read it as a stand alone. It was really nice to see how things worked out for the guys. My main issue was that it was a bit angsty compared to the first one. It is understandable as they are both having issues with being in the closet with their relationship.
I liked the support characters a lot more in this one even if not the relationship. It is funny because I loved Blake even though he was being painted as a pain in the ass. I thought they could have han ...more

Finally read this series recommended by @lissyb_20. I loved it! It was so amazing to get 2.5 books about the same couple! Jamie and Wes were childhood friends and when they have a falling out that Wes is too embarrassed to bring up and Jamie is confused why it happened, when the two reconnect at a college hockey tournament, questions are answered.
Reasons I Recommend:
1) I love love love the cigar box of gifts. When Jamie gets the boxers with the tiger on them sent to his hotel room, I laughed o ...more

This was a wonderful follow-up to Him! I loved seeing Wes and Jamie work through the initial months of their relationship. It wasn't all sunshine and roses...in fact there were some really jagged edges, but I enjoyed seeing them work through it. The supporting characters were great also! I wish there was more of the Canning clan, but I appreciated the dose I got!

5 amazingly heart happy stars!!
SWOON!! These. two. are. perfect!!! Sarina Bowen killed it again! After being soooooo happy with the first novel, I was scared to see what was next in store for Wes and Jamie. But have no fear! These two are just as amazing as before!
