Beg Me to Slay by Lisa Kessler, is the story of two emotionally and physically wounded survivors whose paths cross not once but twice.. I enjoyed Gabe and Tegan as characters, they were like-able, well written, equally strong, and had a good chemistry and connection. The story was filled with various types of demons, a small cast of characters, an easy to follow plot, some great action scenes, and tidbits of humor. Tegan (rhymes with Megan) was attacked 4 years ago and left scarred, emotionally and physically. When she sees her glowing-eyed attacker again and the police do nothing to help, she hires a P.I. to find him. That P.I., Gabe, also happens to be a paranormal investigator. And demon slayer. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I love it when the good guys get the bad guys. I love to see a good fight, a good car chase, any type of good action fight scene where the good guy wins but only because he never gave up and he knew he had something to come back to. I am a total sucker for a happy ending even if it comes in the form of a bombed out building and a couple walking out of the dark. That is what this book reminds me of. A good old-fash I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I love it when the good guys get the bad guys. I love to see a good fight, a good car chase, any type of good action fight scene where the good guy wins but only because he never gave up and he knew he had something to come back to. I am a total sucker for a happy ending even if it comes in the form of a bombed out building and a couple walking out of the dark. That is what this book reminds me of. A good old-fashioned "action flick" where the bad guys are doing nasty secret stuff and someone finds out about it and lives to tell the authorities. But they don't believe him or her because... every one has a different reason.

This book's reason is cause Tegan (like Megan with a T) was attacked by a demon and is the first one EVER KNOWN to survive. But who do you go to help for when the cops and the doctors can't make sense of your injuries and you nearly lost your sanity last time you looked into those evil yellow eyes....

You turn to Gabriel V.H. Smith, Licensed P.I. and paranormal investigator. Gabe, while being a decent P.I., is really a demon slayer. Yeah he goes out and finds and slays the demons on earth that are causing trouble, death or destruction. if you are just in L.A. for a night of clubbing and no one dies or worse, he'll probably leave you alone. Try to make your date an incubator for you iggy demon seed so you can build an army, he is gonna slay your ass back to HELL!

This was a great book. One of those few books that you read with a smile on your face the whole time. Its sassy, its sweet, its tender, its snarky, its funny, its just plain a good book from top to bottom or side to side. It won't make you cry or wanna toss your e-reader - its not that kind of emotion wrenching roller coaster ride. Its just a good book about a demon slayer and a woman who survived a demon attack, the scars they have in common and the way they win. They are the good guys and the good guys always win. ...more

Due to some sexual content this really isnt for the YA...had it not had the sex scenes, it would have been ideal.

The book is so easy to read...flows well, characters consistent.

So basically Teagan was attacked 4 years ago. She KNEW it wasn't human. But no one listened to her - she was even sectioned until she learnt she just had to say that it WAS a human.
She throws herself into martial arts an self defence to protect herself. She has no life, she lives in shadows and fear.
