This was my 2nd time reading and I changed my rating from 3.75 Stars to 3.5.
The reason for that is how much filler this story has.
I really loved the mc's Elena & Nicolas. But the extreme slow pace of the story due to unnecessary words that bogged everything thing often had me wanting to quit reading it.
Nico, Elena and her Nonna had me continuing.

This book is just fantastic. It takes the slow-burn kinda-enemies to lovers and imbues it with the Mafia. The hottest MC that you can't wait to see undone. A fascinating enigmatic mc who is just bedeviling enough to keep from being predictable. Kudos to the author!
If I have to mention a flaw, it would be to dial back on the "writerly" metaphors and similes. Thy never devolve to purple prose but too many of them aren't all that but the author clearly thinks they are. ...more
