The book starts right basically where we left off.

Well 10 days later exactly.

Then we meander about worrying about the hell dimension that was unleashed, figuring out how to close it.

A lot of the breadcrumbs we had to follow didn’t give me enough clues to figure things out.

I was so shocked when I found out that someone close to Charley died. I had no indication prior that this person had died!

And then some of Charley’s great departed friends crossed. It was so sad.

I’m not sure what I can say beside I’ll miss this seeing and all the characters. This was sad, funny, sweet and all around twisted. I can’t believe all that came about in this book. I so loved this series and all the fun times with all of the characters that have came and went throughout the series. I won’t post much because I don’t want to give away anything and if you’re like me you will be tempted to click the spoiler so nope I won’t do it. Enjoy 😉

The Charley Davidson series was great! (Thanks for introducing this to me, Mari!) I enjoyed the characters and their wit. It was such fun. A lot has been written about what the story is about, so I will just say we gained a lot of unexpected connections and info in this book. I knew as the story progressed that there was no way Beep's upcoming battle could be included. The story is open-ended so there needs to be more. I'm hoping Beep's story will come soon. ...more

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly plane for eternity – which is the appropriate amount of time to make a person stark raving mad. But someone’s looking out for her, and she’s allowed to return after a mere hundred years in exile. Is it too much to hope for that not much has changed? Apparently it is. Bummer.
She’s missed her daughter, she’s missed Reyes, and Beep, but now that she’s back on earth, it’s time to put to rest burning questions ...more

I would have given this book 5*s until I got to the end. The end just about made me cry. That’s not the ending I wanted for Charley and Reyes. Not to mention the rest of the gang. Very disappointing.
