Overall, and enjoyable book. She is upfront saying that it is pretty much true, but some characters may have been combined and names changed along with some exaggerations. Easy to get involved in the reading even when there are times that Ruth is not your favorite person. While some people in my book group thought she used people I thought this was about how those she encounter transformed her into the writer she has become.
