Having watched the movie years ago I remember the plot and a few visuals from scenes, so was expecting this classic to be a charming read. But this book proved to be more than that! Mary's journey is well enough (I think I would've liked a bit more closure for her) but I would almost say that this is actually Colin's story. The garden was one to cherish and the animals such fun and Dickon might have to be my favorite, fanciful character. But what I love most of all though is what Burnett did wit ...more
