Whilst Elena may seem like the typically overdone blonde, blue eyed, overly perfect character don’t underestimate her. She’s also bitchy and damaged and at times her attitude does come close to a little over the top but she’s real and I think that’s what I liked most about her. This story is gritty and at times dark but wholely enjoyable. I picked up this book because I was getting tired of reading about vampires but still didn't want to read a normal romance book, and so I went to werewolfs (though the competition was against the Anita Blake series which I plan to read someday... soon I think)
If you're looking for romance, this isn't the book for you. I found that out too late.

One of the best urban fantasy novels I've ever read. I completely adored the storyline, I adored the characters, and I have a weak spot for werewolves.

This book one in the series so it was kinda slow (very slow for me) i had to make myself keep reading it .
For a starter it was good but there was nothing new , no surprises and no twists .
I hope it gets better next book but if not i don't think i'll read more of this series . ...more
