Never before have I been so glad to be done with a book. The only reason I rate it 1.5 rather than 1 star is because I can recognise the importance of this book in the genre of vampires as a whole, but even that barely helps.
The first chapter in, I was completely entranced by the atmosphere. The building tension of fear was wonderful, and drew me in instantly.

i thought reading this again in the form of Dracula Daily would be better for me, given how much i hated it the first time i read it it. it wasn't. i fucking despise this book
