Update May 4, 2021:
I had not noticed that this was an abridged version. It felt very choppy, so I gave it up.

A very vivid and descriptive book. The story line follows that of Jane Eyre, but without the depth in the characters that makes Jane Eyre memorable. Also I felt that the ending of the book was very abrupt and unappealing. However, the one thing that makes the book memorable is Rebecca and her larger than human presence throughout the book.
