So, since Rebecca is one of my absolute favorite Hitchcock films, when I saw a used copy of this for $3.50 the other day, I finally decided to read the novel that the film is based on. I got a lot of weird stares on the train based on the trashy cover, but the book itself is anything but trashy. I already see a re-read of this in my future. Particularly resonated with the following passage:
