This struck me as unimpressive, which I know is completely unfair--it's that this is the one that created the mold and since 1895 we've had a bazillion time travel novels. I might feel very different if I was a contemporary of Wells reading this when published.

Another book I did not read but listened to on a play-a-away from the library. I want to actually hold this book in my hand and read it. I was a very interesting story and it was very visual. I can't believe this book was published in 1895. I can totally understand why H.G. Wells is considered the father of science fiction.
