This is a very short novel I read in a couple of hours. In spare simple prose, it begins at the end of 83-year old Eddie's life, the first chapter tells us about the last hour of his life. It's his birthday, but he's working at the job he's had for decades at Ruby Pier amusement park maintaining the rides.

I liked this book which would give it 3 stars, but i really liked how it made you think. I finished with it and my mind just kept going. Having had quite a few instances in my life I would like explained to me after I die, it really struck a chord with me. I really appreciate books that can affect your life and make you question things so this book gets 4 stars, even though the story itself was probably a 3.

I loved this book. It intrigues me what other peoples vision of heaven are and this is a good. It is a version of the "everything happens for a reason".
