This book completely blew me away, as it did a lot of folks at the time. Brilliantly researched, incredibly detailed and completely believable. Ayla is one of the most remarkable heroines ever. It has been 26 years, but this book I DO remember.

This is one of the most interesting books I have ever read. The story is amazing and is the only look I have ever had into the life of cave people. It is set during the ice age. I couldnt get enough of it.
