The author, who started on the romance aisle can found in general fiction these days, as was this novel--often a sign of quality. I'd liked the other book by her I'd tried, Anyone But You. More than once I've been told by people who don't like romance books that Crusie is their one exception--I can understand why. The story starts out with Minerva Dobbs (Min for short) is getting dumped by her boyfriend David in bar. His reason she is not taking their relationship seriously, explanation Min will not sleep with him. But Minerva is not that upset about being dump expect now she has to tell her mom that she has no date for her sisters wedding in 3 weeks. 5 stars! I loved this title and it's my favorite one so far by Jennifer other than her Crusie/Mayer books. Charm boy can come into my dreams anytime... Fairy tales mixed with modern day romance and such witty lines! ...more

When this was chosen by the Chick Lit book club I almost didn't read it but then I found it in the library so I decided to give it a shot. It was a lot of fun, the characters kind of made me think of some old movie. There were a few annoying things but overall I was happy to ignore them and keep reading. ...more

Before we knew what chick-lit was, we liked chick-lit and Jennifer Cruise never fails to dissapoint! I've read most of her books and this one is great as well. Different than Welcome to Temptation, which I have on my book shelf as well. Suspense, humor, sarcasm, romance..it has it all! ...more
