I checked this book out from the library on a whim. I seem to be stuck in a vampire/werewolf fix at the moment so I figured I'd give this one a try as it came up in a category search.

I was pleasantly surprised by the book. Whenever I started feeling as though I didn't know enough about the history of this reality, the author managed to fill in the holes. I never felt like I was overly confused from missing background information nor that there was too much information.

Excellent! I loved it!

Rachel, without wanting to be, is one hell of a heroine, even if it's just her trying to keep herself from being killed. When she sets her sights on something, she doesn't back down; like a pitt bull that chomps down and won't let go. Tenacious and unrelenting, she does whatever she needs to do. I loved her attitude and personality, and I like the way she thinks.

A nice mix of characters, good guys and bad guys. Jenks, Ivy, I like how they seem to fit with Rachel, although I

Though I am only reviewing this book, I've read all of the Rachel Morgan series... Well all except the last one, which I read a chapter at a time, then put it away because I am savoring it.
Her writing is tight, fast-paced and fun. There is as much humor as there is tension in her books.
Rachel is a wonderful character who has some confidence, but is always surprised at how she gets tangled in the madness around her. There is something endlessly sympathetic and admirable about her whimsy spiced w

Dang..another UF series to read. Really great characters and lots of action and suspense. Rachel is a great heroine and Ivy and Jenks are perfect sidekicks. Love LOVE LOVE Jenks! Fun read and looking forward to reading more in the series.

It's Kinsey Milhone turned supernatural - which turns out to be a combination that I don't enjoy. After listening to almost half of the book, I just can't get into it so I'm moving on - ...more
